Crochet Chart app for designers
I found a new app perfect for crochet designers. I wrote a blog about all of my favourite apps back in 2017 [Crochet Designing Apps], but none has excited me as much as this one that I found a few days ago. The app is called Crochet Chart. Unfortunately it is only available for iOS. I don’t know if they will make it available for other devices. If you don’t have iOS, you can always try the other options I wrote about in my old post.
Now for the chart design and how it turned out…
My dear friend and Crochet designer: Anca at Sophibelle made a wonderful and very pretty star for Christmas and I thought I would try making a chart out of her beautiful pattern to try out the new app. Check out her written pattern here…
This is my first try but it’s very promising, and it’s a great way to share patterns for those like me, who are very visual and needs a chart to Crochet along more easily. It’s very easy to miss your place when reading written patterns as opposed to reading charts.
Here is the outcome. There are three rounds on this pattern that you can group together or separately. You can add stitches in a batch group or individually, change colours for each row, add more row guides, etc…
After you complete your chart you can save it as a printable .pdf file or save the image. Here is the completed chart with the stitch legend. I’m really happy with the way it turned out. What do you think?
I hope this will at least inspire you to give it a try.
Feel free to leave a comment below if you did and share your experience with me here.
Happy crocheting and stay cosy!
